Born and raised in the Colorado Rockies, Elizabeth Rabb is a portrait photographer currently living on a pony farm somewhere within the contiguous United States. She received her BFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA in 2008.

Ms. Rabb's stark but complex portraits compel the viewer to enter the subject's world.

Whether securely surrounded by their own belongings - a picture of kittens tacked to the wall, a porcelain bluebird, an opened manuscript, a shelf of clocks and metal pyramids - or caught on the street, her subjects challenge the lens to tell the stories of lives. Ms. Rabb's documentation of the whimsical and the odd, the lonely and the flirtatious, the injured and the desperate evokes a remembrance of our common humanity.
